The new trailer for the sixth movie in the Mission Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible – Fallout has been released and it looks great. With big budget comic book films stealing all the spotlight, this good old fashioned action movie trailer does bring about a fresh wind of change. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the previous installment, gets back into his chair for this one too and he seems to have gone all out in terms of thrills and action for this one. Apart from Tom Cruise as the one and only Ethan Hunt, the movie will bring Henry Cavill into the franchise. The other series regulars like Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Michelle Monaghan will be there as well. Rebecca Ferguson who did a great job in Rogue Nation, will be back in this one as well. Only Jeremy Renner who played William Brandt in the last two movies will be missing in action due to his engagements in the Marvel Studio projects.

Apart from some wild and exciting action and chase scenes, the trailer gives out plenty of plot points as well. A major one among them is that Henry Cavill is playing a CIA assassin with the authority to take out Ethan Hunt if needed. The trailer makes it look as if Cavill is going all out against Hunt who is on the run and the confrontation between the two is a major highlight of the movie.Sean Harris is also back playing Solomon Lane and he is expected to be a major antagonist. The movie seems to have upped the stakes on the emotional front as well along with the traces of humour that we have come to expect.

Tom Cruise has aged quite a lot since the first film of the series but like old wine he is getting better by notching up the intensity and daring of the stunts with each new Mission Impossible movie. Here is the link to the video where his accident during a stunt is spoken about in detail. The other issue that comes up while watching the trailer is Henry Cavill’s much discussed and denounced moustache which was digitally removed from Superman’s face in Justice League . No movie so far had the privilege of being criticized for subpar digital shaving of a lead actor’s moustache, apart from Justice League.

The Mission Impossible series has cut out its own mark amidst other franchises by treating the audiences with more old fashioned stunts and thrills instead of special effects. The trailer makes it look and sound as one of the best action adventure movies coming out this year and it might even turn out to be as the best of the lot. The movie comes out on July 27th so get ready for another crazy adventure with the IMF. You can watch the trailer here.
